Cambridge First Certificate in English

This is an Upper Intermediate (CEFR B2) level qualification.

The exam consists of the following 4 test papers: 

  • Reading and Use of English  (1 hour and 15 minutes)

The Reading and Use of English paper has seven parts and there are a total of 52 questions. Parts 1 – 3, each correct answer receives 1 mark. Part 4, each correct answer receives up to 2 marks. Parts 5 – 6, each correct answer receives 2 marks. Part 7, each correct answer receives 1 mark. 

  • Writing  (1 hour and 20 minutes)

The Writing paper has two parts.  Part 1 is a single compulsory task. Part 2, candidates choose 1 question from 3.

  • Listening  (Approximately 40 minutes)

The Listening paper has four parts and there is a total of 30 questions. Each correct answer receives 1 mark.

  • Speaking (Approximately 14 minutes)

The Speaking test has four parts and candidates are assessed on their performance throughout.

 

Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English

This is an Advanced (CEFR C1) level qualification.

The exam consists of the following  4 test papers: 

  •  Reading (1 hour and 30 minutes)

The Reading and Use of English paper has eight parts and there are a total of 56 questions. Parts 1 – 3, each correct answer receives 1 mark. Part 4, each correct answer receives up to 2 marks. Parts 5 – 7, each correct answer receives 2 marks. Part 8, each correct answer receives 1 mark.

  • Writing (1 hour and 30 minutes)

The Writing paper has two parts.  Part 1 is a single compulsory task. Part 2, candidates choose 1 question from 3.

  • Listening (Approximately 40 minutes)
