Accommodation

The Brighton School of English can arrange your accommodation when you come to England*

Most students choose Homestay, which means living with an English host family. This gives you the support you need during your stay here in the UK. Living with a host family also helps you to experience English culture.

*Arrangement fee – £50.

Homestay in private homes

Our carefully selected hosts mainly live in the Brighton and Hove suburbs, just a short bus ride away from the school. Most buses stop right outside the school building.

You will have your own bedroom / study area and will share the kitchen facilities.

You pay your host directly usually 4 weeks in advance.

We make every effort to find suitable accommodation on a personalised basis. We will always try to put single females with a female host.

Food

Our hosts provide all your meals except lunch on Monday – Friday when you are at the school. We we have kitchen facilities at the school for lunchtimes.

Self-catering is possible in some cases but not usual.

The Student House

We also have limited places available in our Student House, just 2 minutes walk from the school. This is right in the centre of Brighton with views to the sea.

There are 6 rooms and you will share the house with other international students (18+). You will have your own private room, some have en-suite bathrooms. You will share the communal kitchen, dining and living area and for non en-suite rooms, share a bathroom.

This is a great option if you prefer to share with other students, although you may not experience the typical English lifestyle in the same way. There is a damage deposit payable when you start and all students share cleaning duties, electricity and gas costs.

You can find accommodation prices here.
